About

I founded Liminal Services because I’ve seen firsthand how life’s major transitions can feel both logistically overwhelming and emotionally isolating. Liminal means threshold — the space between what was and what comes next. It’s where our clients are when they come to us. Whether you’re downsizing after decades in a family home, helping an aging parent navigate a difficult move, or facing an unexpected change in your living situation, these moments require more than someone who can pack boxes efficiently. They require someone who understands that every item tells a story, that decision fatigue is real, and that maintaining dignity and control during times of change isn’t a luxury — it’s essential.

My path to this work was unexpected. I spent years supporting people through some of the hardest moments of their lives — crises, conflicts, high-stakes decisions made under pressure. Before that, I trained as a writing tutor, and something I learned then has stayed with me ever since: the client holds the pen.

In tutoring, the client holding the pen means they have agency. My role was never to do the work for them but to help them find their own way through it — to ask the right questions, to be present without taking over. That principle is at the center of how I work today. When we’re sorting through decades of belongings together or navigating a timeline that keeps shifting because life keeps happening, the decisions are always yours. I’m there to make sure you can make them well.

Working with Liminal Services means you won’t be handed a checklist and left to manage it alone — and you won’t be sidelined while someone else handles everything on your behalf. We offer something in between and more valuable than either: genuine partnership through a process that is yours from beginning to end. We bring the organizational systems, the vendor relationships, the project management, and the steady presence. You bring the knowledge of what matters most.

Trust is earned, not assumed. We build it one conversation, one session, one decision at a time.

Liminal Services operates as a professional team. I lead every engagement personally, and the people who work alongside me are selected and trained to bring the same relational approach to every client interaction. Whoever shows up from Liminal Services is there to support your process — not to rush it, not to take it over, and not to lose sight of what this transition means to you.

If you’re facing a transition and could use a steady, capable, genuinely present partner — I’d love to hear what you’re going through.
